PHYSIOTHERAPIST ( ASHGROVE AND WEST END )
Yasmin is unique practitioner with full qualifications in both Physiotherapy and Acupuncture and over 17 years of clinical experience. Yasmin completed her first degree, a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture), in 2003 from the Endeavour College of Natural Medicine. It was here that Yasmin met her mentor, John Deare, who was formerly the president of the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Yasmin worked in John’s clinic for several years, further developing her skills in the treatment of many conditions, with particular emphasis on pain management, musculoskeletal disorders, IVF, fertility and pregnancy support.
Yasmin lectured in Traditional Chinese Medicine and supervised acupuncture student clinics from 2008 – 2012 at the Endeavour College of Natural Medicine in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
Here, Yasmin’s passion for further studies was ignited and she completed a Master of Health Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine) via the University of Western Sydney in 2015, which has a strong emphasis on women’s health, neurological acupuncture, digestive disorders and musculoskeletal treatment. After several discussions with physiotherapists, Yasmin learned she could gain even more knowledge and experience in these fields by studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Yasmin completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Central Queensland University in 2020.
Yasmin is a one-of-a-kind practitioner with full qualifications in Physiotherapy and Acupuncture as well as one of only a handful of acupuncturists in Queensland with a master’s degree. Yasmin is passionate about improving people’s quality of life. Whether that means helping to reduce their pain , improve their fertility so they can have a baby, improving their capacity to cope with life’s ups and downs or improve their digestion. In order to complement some of her treatments, Yasmin combines up-to-date, high quality research with the ancient art of acupuncture to give you the best solution to your health concerns.
