Joanne graduated the University of Queensland 2014 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honors Class l. A skilled dancer, choreographer and director, Joanne forged a highly successful career internationally and more specifically on Broadway before transitioning to a career in physiotherapy.
Joanne studied dance at QDSE and the Victorian College of the Arts before becoming an apprentice with the Queensland Ballet and performing with the company at the official opening of QPAC. For 20 years she lived in New York City where she fulfilled her dream of dancing on Broadway, directing and choreographing musical productions and working with New York City Ballet. In 2010 Joanne returned to Australia to attend UQ.
Since completion of her physiotherapy degree Joanne has worked in both private practice and hospital settings, gaining experience in general musculoskeletal work and post-surgical rehabilitation. She has also completed training in dry needling, APPI clinical Pilates and pain sciences. With her extensive dance background Joanne has special interest in dance rehabilitation and injury prevention and regularly includes Pilates in the treatment and management of her clients. Joanne was thrilled to join the Revive team in 2017.
Outside of work Joanne is an avid traveler, scuba diver and photographer and enjoys spending time with family & friends and enjoying the Aussie lifestyle.
