Deb Fergusson

Deb graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2004. Prior to physiotherapy, Deb completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and spent a year studying Sports Medicine and Athletic Training in America where she developed her passion for injury management and prevention. 

Over the last 15 years, Deb has worked in a variety of physiotherapy fields covering both the private and community sectors. As a new grad, Deb was very fortunate to work under experienced sports physicians and physiotherapists in NZ. From here, Deb obtained her own elite Netball and Rugby Union teams and enjoyed a number of years travelling around NZ and across the ditch for trans-Tasman competitions. 

Deb has a particular interest in movement impairments, injury prevention and pre and post-operative rehabilitation. Deb is proactive in updating her clinical skills by partaking in regular professional development courses.  Deb is in the process of completing the PINC Certification Course that specifically focuses on Physiotherapy Cancer Rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Deb is a busy Mum and enjoys an active lifestyle. Deb loves to travel and experience new cultures often making the most of quick trips back to New Zealand to visit family and friends, especially in winter when she can hit the ski slopes!
