YOGA AT REVIVEYoga is part of a system of Indian philosophy which appeared as far back as 2800BC. Yoga is a holistic practice - literally translated from the sanscrit language yoga means "to yoke" or "to bind" and regular practice helps to integrate the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects of self. Yoga is not just for the flexible. In fact if you are feeling stiff, tight or restricted in your movements then it is the perfect practice for you! Physically yoga helps strengthen and tone muscles. It improves balance which tends to decline as we age. Mentally it creates the possibility of clearing the mind through focusing on breathing, energy flow and the alignment of the postures. We cater for all levels and all bodies and the postures can be modified to suit every client. We provide belts, bricks, bolsters and mats. Classes incorporate movements which increase flexibility and strength, detoxify and regenerate the body, and harmonise the mind with the body. Work at your own level; beginners are very welcome. Hatha Flow Yoga Iyengar Yoga What is unique about Iyengar Yoga is that it is characterised in the practice of asana and pranayama with the innovative approach emphasising precision and alignment, planned sequencing, timing and the use of props such as belts and blocks.
