Musculoskeletal Screening
Screening has long been used by elite athletes to improve performance
and aid injury prevention. The demands of triathlon and cycling training on the body are so high that screening is necessary to ensure injury does not become an overwhelming problem.
A musculoskeletal screening involves a 1hr evaluation of your musculoskeletal system through a series of tests and measurements tailored to your needs. The screening will identify muscular imbalances, flexibility or joint mobility issues.
The physiotherapist will use the information gathered to educate you on how to minimise injury risk and improve your performance. In addition to discussing the findings with you, the Physiotherapist will provide you with a written report. This summarises your main problems and details the most important steps and exercises you need to take. A more extensive exercise program may need to be developed for you in a follow up session.

Bike fit analysis
Available separately or in conjunction with your musculoskeletal screening. We recommend you have a musculoskeletal screening first. After the screening we can discuss with you whether a bike fit may be necessary.
Technique analysis
Is available on request for cycling or swimming.
Coaching
Individual or group swimming or cycling coaching is available on request.
Core conditioning classes
Sports specific core strengthening classes run regularly in the studio. Check the class timetable for more details. This class is designed to include ALL the things you SHOULD be doing at home but don't have time or aren't motivated to do. It incorporates a number of pieces of equipment as well as a large variety of exercises specific to cyclists and triathletes. If you want get the most out of your training, a musculoskeletal screening prior to beginning the class would be useful.

Louise o'sullivan
 Physiotherapist
Louise Started triathlon in 2006 and completed her first season (06/07) with many top 5 placings and was overall series winner for her age group in Qld sprint series and a 1st place in 2007 BRW. Louise left training and racing due to University and physiotherapy prac commitments and some back and hip problems, which needed rest and 100% commitment to pilates and yoga. Now she has no hip or back problems (thanks to Revive!!!). Louise returned to full time training in October 2009 with Troy Fidler, which means waking up at 4.30am most mornings, training everyday, most week days twice a day, plus extra pilates and yoga. In March 2010 Louise
rode from Brisbane to Mooloolaba 120km (5hrs in the rain) and went over the run and swim course as prep for the race. Louise has qualified for the Australian Triathlon Team in her age group for the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary September 2010. Her results so far.... 7th at Club championships in Dec (after 8 weeks training!), 10th at the National Championships in Canberra in Jan, 3rd at Caloundra in Gatorade Sprint race Jan, 4th in Newcastle (Olympic Distance) in March. Louise is so passionate about health and fitness and does not know a life any different, hence she chose her career to involve movement and physicality. Louise loves being at her peak fitness level and inspiring her clients to be fit and healthy and to push themselves to achieve their physical goals. Louise believes that ANYONE is capable of competing in triathlon and being fit, trim, healthy and vibrant, it is a lifestyle choice and the only limit to achieving this is your mind and the beliefs you carry about why you can't achieve it. Decide on the goal, believe in your ability to achieve that goal and act on that goal in some way everyday.
